Parzanica is one of the municipalities on the Bergamo side of Lake Iseo, and is located about 750 metres above sea level. The Bergamo foothills, on the other hand, are at the back: it is easy to imagine how they can become a favourite destination for excursions on foot or by mountain bike. The possibilities for short-range excursions in the Lombardy region are so many that it is tiring to list them: Bergamo can be reached in about an hour's drive, as can Brescia, but Riva di Solto is only twenty minutes away.
